Social Worker Support

The College provides the service of a professional social service worker who is based on school four days a week. She meets students and their families to deal with potential difficulties such as parent-child relationship, school adjustment, peer relationships, coping with stress and other personal issues. She is also contactable via telephone and email.

The College also provides the service of a professional social service worker who is based on school four days a week. She meets students and their families to deal with potential difficulties such as parent-child relationship, school adjustment, peer relationships, coping with stress and other personal issues. She is also contactable via telephone and email.

At the same time, our school social worker is instrumental in organising links with outside agencies allowing a range of placements and projects to be undertaken by students of all ages. These include work with local charities, the elderly and other ‘at risk’ groups in society. Many students have found these community service experience meaningful and insightful apart from fulfilling their CAS activity requirements.
